Bill Leete has practiced law in Portland, Maine for over thirty (30) years. Bill represents a wide range of businesses and individuals in Maine, including companies owning over 2,000 residential and commercial real estate units, retailers, non-profit corporations, security monitoring companies, real estate agencies, medical and other professionals and many others. Bill regularly assists his clients with respect to real estate and business acquisitions and sales as well as obtaining commercial financing, forming limited liability companies and corporations, and also advises his clients with respect to their every day business, transactional and litigation needs. Bill also has substantial civil, commercial litigation and bankruptcy court experience which have proved invaluable in advising his business clients on assessing future issues which may arise.
Bill received his A.B. degree, cum laude, from Colby College and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice in State and Federal court in Maine and Connecticut as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is also a longstanding board member of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland and a two-time past president. Bill is a long time skier, bike rider, swimmer, and aspiring golfer who lives with his family in Falmouth, Maine.
