Peter’s practice concentrates primarily in the areas of bankruptcy, business law, civil litigation and education law. He has been with the firm since 1988. Peter graduated in 1982 from the University of Massachusetts (cum laude) with a degree in History and a minor in Economics. While at University of Massachusetts he was admitted into the honorary society Phi Beta Kappa. He attended law school at Boston College Law School from which he graduated with honors in 1987. He was admitted to the Maine bar in 1987 and the Massachusetts bar the following year.

Mr. Cary is a member of the Cumberland Bar Association (Secretary/Treasurer, 1997-1999; First Vice President, 1999-2000; President, 2000-2001), the Maine State Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Cary presently is a Commissioner of the Maine Government Facilities Authority.
